How to support us
Here are four ways to show your support — some just take a minute; some carry a little more weight with the county than others. We humbly ask that you do as many of these steps as you can.
Add your name
Every name we collect shows the county support for the Rancho Almasomos vision is real and a force to be taken seriously. Plus, it gives us a means to keep you in the loop as things develop.

Send a letter to the county
We've written ten sample letters covering the angles that matter most. You may simply pick the one that resonates most, or edit it as you'd like to make the words truly yours, either way we've made it as easy as possible to send it straight to the county so that it lands in the official record.

Attend a hearing
Nothing carries more weight with the Board than seeing this community show up in person. Add the dates to your calendar now, and come lend your voice. Even just sitting in the room sends a message.
You can't simply raise your hand when public comment opens. Each hearing has its own way to get your name on the list, and you'll need to do it before the meeting starts. Speakers are limited to three minutes.
Planning & Zoning — September 17
Fill out a PZ Participation Form. You'll find copies at the back of the room on the actual day, or you can download one in advance and bring it filled out. (Note: you'll need the agenda item number to fill out the form. The county typically assigns this a couple weeks before the hearing.)
Board of Supervisors — October 21
Sign in at the entrance. A comment card will be waiting for you there — no form to print or bring.
Get there early. Signing up before the meeting starts is the only way to be called.
Spread the word
Not everyone in your circle knows what's happening yet. A share takes ten seconds and puts this in front of people who might sign, write, or show up because you did.
